I just removed our guestbook. Good riddance! If you want to leave us a message, do so on our MySpace area.
Recordingwise, we are finished with guitars and bass, and will use the remainder of the year recording vocals. Songs are slowly getting names, but no title for the record yet.
Oh, Norwegian release date set to April 2nd, 2007, through BlackBalloon Records!
August 20th, 2006
Awr8! We are back home, enjoying the hottest summer Oslo has ever had. Thanks to all our new friends throughout Europe. We will see you again sometime next year for the next tour!
We have a bunch of pictures that we would like to post online. I just have to figure out how to do it! We shot more than 2.500 pictures during this tour, so there's a chance you might be in a couple of them! I'll also try to finish the tour diary. I'm sorry, but I just hate being the webmaster! If anyone wants to take over, PLEASE send me an email!
So in other news; WE HAVE STARTED RECORDING THE NEW ALBUM!!
Drums have been laid for the 12 songs that made the cut. I can honestly say that Insense is going to sound quite different on this one. Some pretty "un-metal" drum sound, as well as the guitar sound I have planned. Let's move things forward; I'm tired of making the same metal thing over and over again! It's going to be an exciting trip trying to put it together! Truls have done some amazing work, so get your studying glasses out!!! We'll try to update you on the process, but as I said; webmastering is a bore!!

May 3rd, 2006
We have published a tour diary. Check it out and follow us through our 6-week-long
European tour. Turns out internet connections are hard to come by, so it may not be updated daily, but at least it will contain some interesting details on everyday life on the tour, once we do come over an internet wire!

The European tour dates have been updated.

Check it out in the reiews section, if you can understand it!
March 10th, 2005
Please welcome Ola S Hana to the Insense family. After a couple of auditions,
he stood out as the perfect replacement for Magnus. Ola is a long time friend and fan of the band,
and can also be found in the Swing Metal band Big Muff 68, playing guitar. Finally Insense is a
baldy-free band! First concert for Ola is next Friday already, in Bergen! We will update the website shortly.

Bassist quits Insense!!
Just like Head has quit Korn to pursue his love for Christianity, Magnus has shockingly quit Insense to
pursue his love for studying and getting a 9 to 5 job in a suit and tie. Who knew?!? How disappointing!
Nevertheless, Insense is now on the lookout for a new bassist! If you think you have what it takes, and
could make Insense a better band, send us an email on band@insensehq.com ASAP!!!!!! Please tell us a
little bit about yourself, what bands you have played in, what type of music you like, what we can benefit
from your company and enclose a recent picture of yourself. Looks are important. We are first and foremost
a boy band! If you have any music recorded mail it along as well. Anyone and everyone will be considered.
Please don't waste any time, as we are in a hurry to move on with life. We are looking
forward to hearing from you!
Rest assured, we will still play all the set gigs!
February 21th, 2005
The Hakadal gig with Stonegard, scheduled for March 3rd has been cancelled by the venue.
February 14th, 2005
Tommy guest hosted "Whiplash" on January 31st. Check out the playlist here. If only every radio show could have these songs!
Magnus and Truls visited the same radio station last Friday and Truls, Martin and Tommy were interviewed by heavymetal.no. Check it out here.
"Soothing Torture" has received some pretty good reviews throughout. We try to include every single review in our "reviews" section, even the shitty ones,
so go check'em out, and have a laugh! And buy the record afterwards!!

More Norwegian Shows, Less European: Some more shows for you:
First off; three shows jumped up in our laps yesterday. Due to a broken bone,
we will replace Finnish rockers Sunride on the Norwegian leg of their Scandinavian
tour with Swedes Sparzanza and our friends Stonegard. The dates are:
May 6th: Hulen, Bergen (N)
May 7th: Stua, Notodden (N)
May 8th: Garage, Oslo (N)
Secondly, some shows with our good friends in Kongsvinger HC band Showdown. Here is the schedule:
May 15th: Creutz Pub, Kongsvinger (N)
May 19th: Grotta Pub, Hamar (N)
May 26th: Rock In, Oslo (N)
A trondheim gig is expected to coinside with these dates.
Expect more shows in Norway in August and September.
On a sadder note, we have been forced to postpone our visit to Europe for economic reasons. It is very unfortunate, as it was something we had been looking forward to. We will get back to you with more information as soon as we have some!
March 29th, 2004
Gasping for Air and Making Up for Lost Time are now available on NRK’s
urørt. Click here to be directed
March 24th, 2004
The album is finished!
The recording we’ve been working on since December is finally finished.
It came fresh out of mastering yesterday, and we are VERY pleased with
the result. All that remains now is a cover and we’re all set. Here
are some facts:
The album will be titled “Soothing Torture” It clocks in
at 36:46 and contains 10 songs.
Here is the complete track listing:
We will post MP3’s as soon as we decide which songs to front.
We also recorded three extra songs; Modern Day Siren, Addicted to the
Void and Spawn of the Wicked. These will not be made public at this time,
but we’ll get back to you if there are any plans for releases for
them…
So that’s it for now. The new website is coming along nicely, we
hope to have it online in a not too distant future!

all but the vocals on our new record. Recordings will start the coming
Monday.
The first date on our upcoming April Norwegian tour is in: April 2nd
in Andenes. Expect more gigs in the northern hemisphere that same week!
The Website is under heavy reconstruction. Therefore the only thing worth
looking at is currently the news bit. We’re sorry for the “inconvenience”,
but we promise to have something fresh and interesting soon!

Insense enters the studio + finally some shows planned!
Yes you heard us! We have 13 new songs ready, 10 of them will end up on
our new record, title yet unknown We start recording the new album today!
No ETA's yet, but we hope to have it mixed by the end of January.
There are plans of a Norwegian tour in April, which I know a lot of you
have been wanting for a long time already! Also a new European tour is
on the drawing table in early July! Some shows are already booked. We'll
keep you updated as soon as we have more to go on!
We have some disappointed fans wanting more updates on the website. To
be honest; so do we. However, there has been a lot of back-and-forth lately,
we're working on the new album design, which will also affect the website
expect news right over Christmas; we've had line-up changes; everybody's
full up with other engagements; etc... Only now, finally, have we got
the time to focus on Insense again. The last three weeks have been spent
in rehearsals fine-tuning the songs. I hope people are ready for an Insense
with less gibberish and more aggression, at least that's what we're looking
at right now...
And as far as the pictures I promised you on our last update, I lied.
There are none. At least none that I have seen. Wait till the V2.0 of
the website is up, and then MAYBE you'll get some!
I hope this answers some of your questions. Again, thanks for all the
emails! Keep'em comin'!
Your fiend
Tommy

We've just gotten back from the week and a half long tour of Belgium,
Holland and Germany! Insense would collectively like to thank all the
bands, friends, grave diggers, accordion players and autopsy students
we have met along the way! We got to know a lot of cool people, pretty
girls and evil death metal'ers on this tour, and we hope to hear from
you soon! We are already planning an extensive return to Europe some time
mid 2004. We might just have found the cover for our new album in Germany
as well. Pictures from the trip to come shortly!
September 10th, 2003
Insense will do a weeklong tour of the Benelux countries September 27th
to October 4th. The rest of the year will be spent working on new material.
12 new songs have been made so far. We expect to enter the studio December2003/January2004
if all goes as planned!!
July 13th, 2003
Long time since the last update, we're sorry. Here is one for you though:
Insense have been busy making songs for a new album and has therefore
not been playing live for some time. The time with Truls have so far been
very productive, and the band sounds better than ever! We are planning
an EP to be recorded sometime very soon. Release dates, song titles, etc
to follow shortly! Also, good news for our foreign friends! Insense are
going on a European tour in September. Watch out for tour dates as soon
as we get them! Also, apologies for not updating the member’s pages.
We will revamp the entire website soon! Insense are definitely not taking
a break, we're just stockpiling for the next blow-out! Beware!!!
May 2nd, 2003
A photographer named Douglas Carr took some quite cool photos of us at
the RockMotRus event in Andøya. Check them out at www.dcfoto.tk.
Thanks goes out to all the kids that showed up and to the great crew of
RMR. Thank you!!!
March 10th, 2003
Grave news for Insense fans! Insense and Håvard have
decided to go their separate ways. Håvard is one of the founding
fathers of Insense, and has been vital to the shape and sound of the band,
both as the kick-ass drummer he is, but also as a songwriter and arranger.
He will be greatly missed. The empty spot has been filled by Insense fan
and Circus Maximus drum prodigy Truls Haugen and rehearsals will commence
promptly. And just to rest all the worried souls in the north, Insense
will play all scheduled gigs.
February 7th, 2003
A couple of things are happening in and around the Insense camp these
days. We've gotten some new reviews for the s/t album. By now Insense
is sick and tired of the whole album and are currently making new songs.
One preprod with four songs has been finished and three more songs has
arose after it. Tommy is leaving for two weeks to tour with another band.
To finish it off, Insense have finally managed to get small tour of the
northern hemisphere. As you can see in the concert section. Be sure to
come out and support us up there. Flying is expensive! On a last note,
our friends at www.katapulmusic.com is having a kickoff party at John
Dee Saturday. Be sure to check it out. Great bands, among them Martin's
Stargun.
January 7th, 2003
And a Happy new year to all!!!
To celebrate the new year, the computer crashes! So we are sorry to ask
you to resubmit your newsletter subscriptions. We still want to keep newsletter
to a minimum, knowing that they are usually annoying, so you will only
get the essential news! Thanks again!

Insense visited Trondheim Saturday. We had great expectations for this
concert, having had only great memories from Trondheim from earlier visits.
It of course turned out to be a great gig! For those of you who wonder
what was damaged during this concert, let us just summarise: Approx 3m²
of the stage floor itself are now missing, in pieces, or just turned into
dust, one Eugen Paragon Custom (handbuilt for Tommy) broke at the neck/head
and neck/body, and one piece of the body was never found, and Martin slammed
his guitar into the floor effectively helping with the destruction of
the stage (in addition to breaking the guitar neck). A job well done!
Picture of the mayhem to come in the media section.
Aug 22, 2002
Yet another great show in good SoWhat? style yesterday, when insense broke
a third guitar!!! This time magnus was Mr Demolition!!! Read about the concert here (Norwegian).
Thanks to Stonegard and Born Electric who always deliver the goods!!!
August 5th, 2002
Insense has received merchandise in form of T-shirts and Hoods. After
the Kirkenes gig two days ago, we are already sold out (!) of Hoods, so
we're going to have to print new ones! The Merchandise page will be up
shortly.
Also, a big "thank you" to very northern city of Kirkenes, which
overwelmed us Saturday!
June 20th 2002
Yesterday saw Insense breaking yet another instrument, after headlining
the Caliban Sessions party at SoWhat! Tommy broke his yellow Eugen Paragon
in a stage fight as number two, after Martin initially broke his Gibson
SG on the Bislet gig some weeks ago! In addition, Martin sustained some
lesions on his back and Eigil busted his lip, all in this short five song
apocalypse of a gig! What more can you expect?
June 12th, 2002
THE CD HAS ARRIVED!!!! A small batch is now in the hands of the band and
there are ONLY about 30 available for sale!!! Contact
us if you want one. If there are any left on Wednesday on SoWhat!, they
will be for sale there as well. T-shirt and hoods are also in the pressing!!
Watch out for merchandise in the near future!
June 6th, 2002
Tommy has attended an EP called The Caliban Sessions #1. This EP contains
songs jammed together by some of Oslo's finest musicians, and it will be
celebrated on So What! June 19th. Be sure to check it out, as some of the
original bands (among them Insense) will be playing a small set! Also check
out the EP when it arrives. Tommy's contribution is a rather funky one!
May 23rd, 2002
The Haugesund trip has been postponed! Due to circumstances
beyond Insense' control, we have chosen to postpone the "tour"
to later this year. This means that Bergen and Stavanger will also be
included on the bill. Check back later for updates.
May 19th, 2002
Our record company has updated our site on their page. go to www.devildollrecords.com/insense.htm and see what they have to say for yourself. We couldn't have done it better
ourselves (honestly, we couldn't!).
May 12th, 2002
We've uploaded a "limited edition" live clip of Room for Loss.
Check it out at www.mp3.com/insense
April 25th
Not much to tell lately. Håvard is slowly recovering from his arm
injury, and we've started rehearsing again. There are a couple of new
dates in the concert section. www.devildollrecords.com now has our album on display on their website.
We are brewing up an extra little treat for those who pay attention, so
if you're curious, sign on to our newsletter, April/May edition due out
in a matter of days!
March 12th
We've removed some of the "unnecessary" clips from our video
section. They are now five. It seems the Bergen, Haugesund, Stavanger
gigs are now in, we just haven't got a specific date for you yet. It will
be sometime mid June. Be sure to check back later.

Feb 18th, 2002
Insense played their second concert in Oslo last Wednesday; the first
headlining gig ever! Again, we feel we must thank you, the crowd for the
immense support. Great audience + great music = great shows! Despite Tommy's
amp dying on him 2 hours before the gig, it turned out to be even more
chaotic than the John Dee event, last year. Thanks to Lowdown and Black
Comedy for their support as well.
Jan 30th 2002
Today this new lay out sees the light for the first time, hope you like
it. Its now far more easy to update, so check back regulary for updates,
new pictures and so forth. By the way: The video is still (!!!) in the
editing room, and will be launced on the page very soon! A newsletter
is also in the works.

A live video of our December 15th 2001 gig is in
the works. The gig was shot with 2 DV cameras and our excellent webmaster
is working on the material to make a decent thing for people to watch.
We'll get back to you as soon as we have anything. We'll also put out
some cool and/or funny clips from the same show on our site soon, along
with some new pictures of the members shot by Knut
Olav Iden. Soon you'll finally have something to watch!
Jan 10th 2002
Good news for the world of metal: Insense has just signed a record
deal with American label This Dark Reign. We have been in contact with
a few labels the last 4 months, and Dark Reign's solid worldwide distribution
network and genuine interest in the band won us over. The contract was
penned Dec 11 2001. We'll get back to you with more info as soon as they
come.
